There was a growing curiosity about the work I was doing with English Language 2.0. Learning Mentors were speaking to their colleagues about the new approach and the progress they were witnessing. I found many Mentors were happy to come and cover their colleagues in my lessons. All wanting to see if what they heard was true.
It was not just the Learning Mentors, my colleagues from the English department were on the periphery all staring in, curiosity piqued. I had three colleagues very interested in joining the trial, if we were allowed to continue the following year. The more they heard about 2.0 and the more research they did, the keener they became to be part of it. I still had a term and a half to go, but the big winner for most was Paper 1 Question 6.
